Decadent delights allows you to enjoy the sweet and savory moments of life without worrying about the calories.

My cousin sent me a message that they are going to roam around the SM City late in the afternoon. It was already dusk so i hurriedly went there. When i arrived, we roamed around the mall, bought my cousin a cellular phone bling, and my small cousin an ice cream. Then my cousin and I went to Timezone and played Deal or No Deal where we won 85 ticket. Since their counting machine is non-working, we chose to exchange the tickets for 2 wiggly bracelets and 3 candies. Haha!

While playing, Tita Angel texted us to meet them at Amalfi. To eat that is. I was not planning to come, but since my cousin will have no one to accompany her to Amalfi, I went there with her. Tita, then, persuaded me to stay and eat. Yay, food!

So there were 3 dished ordered by Tita. A Spaghetti Bolognese, a Pasta Carbonara, and a Salsiccia Pizza paired with Iced tea. Prior to the arrival of the main dishes, according to Tito, Amalfi has to serve their costumer very well since we pay the service charge so i was surprised when they served a plate of bread sticks, garlic bread, and garlic sticks with a dip. (As seen in the picture below.)

The dip according to Tito is a mixture of olive oil and some spices. Your buds will first taste the sourness of the dip, maybe because it is a mixture of vinaigrette and some spices, which will fade eventually as the olive oil stays in your buds.

Then the three dished arrived after a few minutes.

Salsiccia Pizza was the first dish i ate. Its a thin crust pizza topped with tomato sauce, melted cheese, and as i can see, 2 kinds of sausages, a white one and a red one, sprinkled with herbs and spices. If Italian food is really intended to not have that strong taste, i say, the pizza is an 8. Not that bland, not that strong. Just right. Haha. So i ate 2 slices. Rich in carbs, but hell yeah, whatever.

Next is the Pasta Carbonara. Linguine pasta in white sauce with mushroom slices and bits of bacon sprinkled with herbs and spices. Is an ordinary pasta carbonara really bland? I could not taste the salt of the pasta. Or if the bacon bits will add the saltiness to the pasta, then they need more bacon bits. It’s bland, but not that it has no flavor. Just bland. :) It needs more salt and ground black pepper. Its a 5.

Last is the Spaghetti Bolognese. It’s Linguine pasta in marinara sauce with ground meat, some tomatoes, and topped by some few bits of broccoli and spices. It has this tangy taste and firm noodles but not full on flavors. I felt that something is missing on the flavor of their pasta, compared to the way my Tita cooks Bolognese pasta, Tita’s pasta is way better. I rate it as 8.

It’s a carbs carbs carbs diet that i had but I enjoyed this savory moment in life even without worrying about the calories i may gain.
